Is counter strike 1.6 worth downloading? Where do i download it? What is good about it?
I play combat arms, but have been looking into some other fps games to get into as a sort of sidetrack.I am trying warrock, but it just isnt working for me. I cant like it. I used to have counterstrike for the xbox but no live. Is the online game like the xbox ga,e> Like the maps?
Yes. Generally, the maps are the same. The game is only $10. You can buy it off Steam. What’s good about it? It revolutionized FPS. Combat Arms is technically BASED on 1.6. Email me if you want to know what I mean, but CA is Nexon’s excuse for CSO to the Americas.
How can you play CS without online play? That completely takes away the point. The competition, clans, servers, growing community, ect. is gone. CS, after 10+ years, still has a growing community. No, it’s not the same, gameplay wise. Aiming with the mouse and joystick is not the same. With the mouse, it’s more precise, and every slight movement is important. The game actually takes skill. CPL and CAL(i think), will be coming back soon. They were just bought by some United Arab Emirates company.
Yeah, maps like dust2, dust, aztec, inferno, ect. have just been slightly updated(along with gameplay), and ect. The game is constantly updated.

1.6 keeps the golden gameplay and balance, where as source messes with a lot of the nice things about it. (tho css, is still a fun game. they take on the roll of perfect to an extreme). Jonathan Menard, has several videos where he goes through a comparison of 1.6 and CSS.
