will movies play good and will games like counterstrike run ok on the new dell inspiron 1525?

i ask this because the video (graphics) card sucks it is Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

these are the components

SYSTEM COLOR Jet Black edit
PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5450 (1.66GHz/667Mhz FSB/2MB cache) edit
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows ® Vista Home Premium Edition edit
HD DISPLAY Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280×800) edit
VIDEO CARD Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 edit
MEMORY 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz edit
HARD DRIVE Size: 160GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM) edit
INTERNAL OPTICAL DRIVE CD / DVD Writer (DVD+/-RW Drive) edit
WIRELESS NETWORK CARDS Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Mini-Card edit
INTEGRATED WEBCAM No Webcam Option edit
BATTERY OPTIONS 56Whr Lithium Ion Battery (6 cell) edit
SOUND OPTIONS High Definition Audio 2.0

this is pretty like the same as the Inspiron 1520 except Dell shaved 30% off the thickness and half a pound off the weight in building this new model.
performance is just fine for standard applications, but the lack of a dedicated graphics option makes it unsuitable for gaming.

it’s precisely this reduction in thickness that prevent from having a dedicated graphics card, but for movies it will work fine.

The Underground Cs Movie part 1

How much hard drive do I need?

I’m a student so I do school related work, I play games like Sims2 or counterstrike, and I watch movies.

120 GB or 160 GB

It’s an extra $70 between the two and I don’t want to spend the $70 unless I need it

First of all, it shouldn’t be an extra $70 between the two. That’s too much per gigabyte. Go with the cheaper one. You can always add another drive later (or if this is a laptop, you can get an additional external USB drive).

Hard drives are cheap, and you’re not going to notice much difference between the 120 and the 160 – definitely not $70 worth of difference anyway! Right now, most people pay about 60¢ per gig.
